When I first learned how to play backgammon, I had a little problem.  I could read all the instruction and backgammon books I wanted, but unless I was able to play and learn by experience, I wasn’t going to be a very good backgammon player.  Unfortunately for me, I didn’t have any friends that really played, so I was stuck.

Playing online backgammon was the perfect way for me to learn.  I got to play for free and started out against a computer.  Once I got comfortable that I wouldn’t embarrass myself, I started playing other online players who actually turned out to be a great source of advice and tips.  Then when I felt good about my game, I moved onto the real money tables and the real fun began.  So, if you’re wondering how to play backgammon, get online.  You’ll be a pro in no time.
